EARN YOUR CDL WITH US

YUMA TRUCK DRIVING SCHOOL

Yuma Truck Driving School is a private, post-secondary educational institution where you can earn your commercial driver's license (CDL). We offer a flexible schedule so students can work around their busy schedules. Our mission is to offer students the opportunity to develop both the technical knowledge and the personal skills vital to employment in the ever-changing world of truck driving.

When you train with us, you can take advantage of:

  • CDL training: class A and class B
  • Small class sizes
  • Day or evening classes - Full or part-time schedules
  • Financial assistance available to those who qualify
  • Job placement assistance with local and national motor carriers
  • Paid externships for those who qualify

WHY YOU SHOULD OBTAIN YOUR CDL

Here are some of the many benefits of earning your CDL:
  • EXCELLENT PAY
As a truck driver, you can earn more than $76,000 a year.* Because qualified drivers are in such high demand, companies compete to offer the best pay and benefits. This sometimes includes starting bonuses or tuition reimbursement depending on the motor carrier you choose to work with. There are few careers out there that have earning potential this high after only a few weeks of training.
  • JOB SECURITY
Semi-trucks haul over 70% of freight in the United States and are absolutely essential to our nation's economy. Due to a growing truck driver shortage there is a high demand for qualified individuals in the trucking industry. This translates into excellent job security. As you gain more experience as a driver, you become even more valuable to motor carriers and can continue to enjoy a stable career.
  • FLEXIBLE CAREER OPTIONS
After you earn your CDL, you can choose the type of job that best suits your lifestyle. Over-the-road (OTR), regional, and local routes provide different benefits. In addition to choosing the length of time you want to spend on the road, you can choose to work alone or with a partner. You can also choose what type of cargo you would like to haul. There are also careers outside of the trucking industry for CDL holders such as teaching at a truck driving school, working as a dispatcher, highway maintenance, and more.
  • SEE MORE OF THE COUNTRY
The freedom of the open road is one reason that truck driving can be appealing. Many people see only a small portion of our country. If you choose to become an OTR truck driver, you can travel across the nation and drive through unique and scenic areas. Besides the scenery you can enjoy from the road, you may be able to take time off in different parts of the country depending on which company you work for.
